There has been several reactions since Africa Independent Television aired a controversial documentary which takes a closer look at the person of former Lagos State Governor and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The documentary sponsored by the #GodBlessNigeria group x-rays the political profile of Tinubu, from his early days, to his ascension to the Lagos State Government House in Alausa, Ikeja until the present day where he plays a pivotal role in the presidential campaign team of General Muhammadu Buhari, with the rumour mills stating that he, along with Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi are the financial sponsors of the APC presidential train.
Bola Tinubu has however dragged the management ofAfrican Independent Television to court and hearings are about to proceed as the court has granted accelerated hearings.
In a motion Exparte filed before an Ikeja High Court on Friday March 6th 2015, the court granted an accelerated hearing for motion on notice in the case of defamatory and libelous documentary aired onDAAR Communications, AIT. The granted accelerated hearing comes up on Monday March 16, 2015… a statement from Bola Tinubu's Media Adviser, Sunday Dare.
